L’Institut Jacques Monod recrute de nouveaux responsables d’équipe – Date limite : 15/12/2013

The Institut Jacques Monod (IJM)
is seeking to recruit several new group leaders (both young investigators and established scientists).

The successful applicants will be selected based on their scientific excellence and their potential to complement and synergize with the existing research themes of the Institut. We will consider applications from both young investigators and established scientists.

There is a specific call for a new group leader interested in developing an innovative Cell Biology/Biophysics research program.

The IJM is comprised of about 30 research groups working in the fields of genetics and genomics, biophysics, cell biology, development and evolution. Research at the IJM is supported by excellent core facilities providing state-of-the-art light and electron microscopy, microarray analysis and robotics, mass spectrometry, as well as animal facilities. The IJM is located in Paris in the new campus of the Université Paris-Diderot and is affiliated with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS).

Given the constraints of the French research system, we can only consider applicants who have now, or are currently seeking, permanent positions with the CNRS, Inserm, the French university system, or are applying to the ATIP-AVENIR program.

Applicants should send a C.V., a summary of scientific achievements and proposed research, and contact details for 3 referees, by e-mail to the Institut Director Prof. Giuseppe Baldacci (baldacci DOT giuseppe AT ijm DOT univ-paris-diderot DOT fr).

Applications should be received by 15 December 2013.
